SOPHIA LOREN – TOURING

After participating in the beauty pageant, Sophia Loren took acting lessons and began her film career at age 16. Then she signed with Paramount Pictures, starred in movies one after another, including The Pride and the Passion, Houseboat, and It Started in Naples. She was lauded as the 21st greatest female star of Classic Hollywood Cinema by the American Film Institute. This is in honor of her great contributions to the industry.

Loren was married to Italian film producer Carlo Ponti for 50 years, until his death. They had 2 children. Last year she went on a personal appearance tour wherein she talked about her life and long career on stage, and also answered questions from the audience. To this day, she believes that acting is her life. She’s gone far for a child who grew up during the war and didn’t have a degree.
